La Mesa del Maíz
La Mesa del Maíz is a one-night dinner at Hotel San Cristobal that puts corn at the center of a new seasonal menu built on Mexican cooking traditions.
Corn at the heart of the menu
The kitchen shows how central corn is to Mexican cooking. The menu includes nixtamalized preparations, tortillas made by hand and tetelas, the folded triangular masa snack. These come alongside vegetables picked from the hotel's own garden. Dishes are served to share, so the meal works best with a group around one table.
Music and mezcal
The local trio Tolines plays live from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Saturday, October 31. Mezcal tastings are part of the evening, and wine, beer and mezcal are also available to order. Reservations are made through OpenTable, and locals receive 20% off food and beverage.
