Genesis NYE takes over The Rooftop at The Cape on December 31, pairing headline sets from The Shapeshifters and Mousse T. with a curated selection of local talent. The six-story-high open-air space frames the evening with sweeping views of the sea, turning the countdown into something genuinely cinematic.
The setting
The Rooftop sits atop The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, perched above Monuments Beach on the Cabo San Lucas coastline. The lounge and garden look out over both the city and the Sea of Cortez — a vantage point recognised by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the world's top rooftop bars. The wider hotel blends an urban aesthetic with a distinctly Baja-meets-Southern California sensibility, with pools, chef-driven dining at Manta by Enrique Olvera, and views of the granite arch El Arco.
