EsperanzArte 2026
Now in its tenth year, EsperanzArte transforms Esperanza's coastal grounds into a vivid one-night celebration of Día de Muertos, weaving together Baja cuisine, artisan craft, and traditional Mexican ritual.
Art, altars, and artisans
The festival fills the property with elaborately decorated altars and market stalls showcasing handmade work from local artisans — a mix of contemporary art alongside traditional Mexican crafts and homewares. Moving between stalls feels like a curated journey through Mexican cultural history rather than a simple market.
A feast across Baja
Food is central to the evening, with guest chefs from across Baja joining celebrated Los Cabos restaurants including Tres Gallos, Metrizal, Don Sanchez, and COMAL — the last known for its fresh seafood. The lineup draws from kitchens across Mexico, making the culinary circuit as much a highlight as the art.
The setting
Esperanza sits within the private enclave of Punta Ballena, tucked between two scenic bluffs on 17 landscaped acres overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Fifty-nine casitas and suites step down toward the water, and the resort's restaurants and open spaces carry a relaxed coastal character that suits an open-air evening festival well.
